  1. In videogames, hallways and stuff need to be twice as wide as they are in real life. Same thing with rooms: they need to be twice as big.

    Why?

    Because when you're filling up the place with environment props and clutter, the space in which the player can walk around will fill up really fast. If there isn't enough room in the hallways for props, the hallways will become very cramped for the player and will be uncomfortable to navigate.
